Wht was SNSD`s Tiffany absent from Music Core?

Blame it on a sore throat.

Girls Generation’s Tiffany was noticeably absent from the September 19th airing of the MBC Music Core“. The singer is currently suffering from an unspecified throat condition.

In her place, Soo-young and Seo-hyun stepped in as replacements for the out of commission MC. Meanwhile, Tiffany is currently receiving treatment from a throat specialist and is reportedly recovering well. According to an SM Entertainment representative, “Tiffany’s throat has been bothering her, so she is getting treatment for it. Everything will be back to how it was before on the upcoming 27th.”

Tiffany may not be my favorite Girls Generation member, but sore throats are definitely no fun. Here’s to a speedy recovery!

2NE1’s CL Flaunts Her English At Asia Song Festival

The cameras were flashing non-stop when the newbie group, 2NE1, walked into the press conference room of the Asia Song Festival. When the 4 girls sat down for an interview, leader CL whipped out her English skills surprising everyone there!

She seemed nervous and pulled herself back from speaking her second or third... or maybe even fourth (?) language. Unlike her exotic and enthusiastic stage presence, the 2NE1 leader spoke lightly and periodically paused with "um"s.

I'm not even quite sure I understood her but from what I heard of the video she said something along the lines of: "First of all, we would like to thank you for thinking that we are popular in our country. We enjoy music and as a group, we always say, 'You know, let’s go out there and play with our music.' That’s all, that's how we do it."

Though she seemed to pause often, she still sounded like she barely had an accent. CL still seemed to speak the language with ease and know where she was going with what she was saying.

CL also mentioned how thankful she is of the fact that her group 2NE1 is already popular in Asia. Also check out the YGLadies Forum.

Girls’ Generation’s Global Language Skills

After seeing CL speak English, we now have SNSD / Girls' Generation turn at speaking other languages. It's been mentioned Girls' Generation can speak many languages but we got to see it all at once during the press conference of the Asian Song Festival.

After leader TaeYeon introduced her group and how honored the whole group is to be there she passed down the microphone to SooYoung who spoke in Japanese. Then it was Tiffany who gave a speech in English followed by HyoYeon who said a quick thank you in Chinese.

All the idol groups have been proving their skills in not only performing but knowledge of other cultures these days. We know 2NE1 speaks six languages, and there are so many international members in idol groups.
